Manager - Public Relations (Corporate Communications)

Location: Bangalore

Job Summary:

The Manager - Public Relations (Corporate Communications) at Xiaomi India will support the corporate and brand functions within the PR and Communications team. This role is essential for strategizing and managing the brand narrative in corporate media, handling crisis communication, managing social media for the Xiaomi India President, and creating content for leadership. Additionally, this position will support after-sales and CSR narratives to enhance the brand's image and communication efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Narrative Management:

Strategize and manage the brand narrative within corporate media.

Develop and execute communication plans to enhance Xiaomi India's brand visibility and reputation.

Crisis Management:

Handle crisis communication effectively to mitigate potential damage to the brand.

Develop crisis communication strategies and action plans.

Social Media Management:

Manage the social media calendar for the Xiaomi India President.

Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms.

Content Creation:

Write and develop content for leadership communication, including speeches, articles, and internal communications.

Support the creation of content for after-sales services and CSR initiatives.

Stakeholder Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including media, internal teams, and external partners.

Act as a liaison between the company and media outlets to ensure effective communication.

Media Relations:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with media professionals.

Ensure positive media coverage and manage media inquiries.

Job Requirements:

5-7 years of experience in PR agencies or corporate communications, preferably with a high-traction/high-visibility brand.

Proven experience in content writing with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Expertise in stakeholder management.

Strong media relations skills and a network of media contacts.

Experience in strategizing and managing brand narratives and crisis communication.

Skills and Competencies:

Content Writing: Exceptional writing skills to create compelling content for various communication channels.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement effective communication strategies.

Media Relations: Strong network and ability to build and maintain media relationships.

Crisis Management: Skilled in handling crisis situations and developing effective communication plans.

Stakeholder Management: Proficient in managing relationships with various stakeholders.

Social Media Savvy: Understanding of social media trends and ability to manage executive social media presence.
