Job Description - Purchase Coordinator

Order Management: Placing, tracking, and managing purchase orders from creation to delivery.

Vendor Management: Liaising with suppliers, evaluating performance, negotiating prices, and maintaining relationships.

Inventory Control: Monitoring inventory levels, managing stock replenishment, and reducing costs.

Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier catalogs.

Collaboration: Working with internal departments (finance, production) to determine purchasing needs and resolve issues.

Compliance: Ensuring all procurement activities adhere to company policies and legal guidelines.

Requirements

Experience: Generally 2–3 years in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing roles.

Communication: Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills for vendor management.

Technical Proficiency: Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and ERP/procurement software.

Organisational Skills: Excellent time management and attention to detail for handling multiple orders.

Education: A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is often preferred.
