Purchase Engineer

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Building strong relationships with the
  suppliers
  
• Ensure availability of
  materials on -time for the Vehicle Assembly
  
• Overseeing the procurement of materials
  and components, placing orders, tracking deliveries, and resolving issues
  related to delivery or quality
  
• Managing
  inventory levels, Maintain safety stocks, forecasting material needs, and
  optimizing procurement strategies to minimize stock -outs and overstocking
  
• Collaborating with
  quality control to ensure purchased materials meet the necessary quality
  standards and technical specifications
  
• Maintaining accurate
  purchasing records and documentation, ensuring compliance with company
  policies and industry regulations
  
• Continually improve
  the Supply chain issues, processes and procedures
  

Skill & Competency:

• In -depth
  knowledge of supply chain management principles and best procurement
  practices
  
• Proficiency in
  procurement software, tools, and ERP systems (MRP, ASN etc.)
  
• Technical knowledge of
  parts being sourced (Welding & Fabrication / Injection molding /
  Machining etc.)
  
• Strong Analytical and
  Communication skills
  
• Pro -active risk assessment
  and mitigation
  

Requirements

Experience

4 -6 years

Industry Preferred

EV / Automotive / Auto Ancillary
