Job Responsibility
Purchasing & Order Management:
Manage the procurement of pharmaceutical products based on forecasts and inventory needs.
Place and track orders, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries.
Approve purchase requisitions from departments.
Supplier Relations:
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure favourable terms.
Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and address supplier issues.
Inventory Management:
Monitor stock levels and initiate orders to avoid shortages/excess.
Work with inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels and expiration management.
Compliance & Regulatory Adherence:
Ensure purchased products comply with GMP, FDA, and other regulations.
Maintain accurate purchase records in line with legal requirements.
Market Research & Analysis:
Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and new developments.
Identify cost\-saving opportunities and evaluate supplier performance.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain purchase order records and submit regular reports on purchasing activities.
Cross\-functional Collaboration:
Work with sales, marketing, and logistics to ensure timely product availability.
Skills:
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Analytical abilities to assess trends and cost\-saving opportunities.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical products and regulatory requirements.
Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Excel.
Experience:
Experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry (preferred):
Previous experience in procurement, supply chain, or inventory management within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is highly advantageous.
Procurement Experience:
At least 5\-8 years of relevant experience in procurement, with experience in negotiating contracts, managing vendors, and handling procurement.
