Python Backend Developer

Job Description:

Must-Have Skills:

Python with 3+ years of hands-on backend development experience
Strong experience in FastAPI for building production-grade REST APIs
PostgreSQL (Database Design, SQL Query Optimization, Schema Design)
Experience with Celery (or similar asynchronous task queues like RQ/Kafka)
Kubernetes deployment experience (preferably Azure AKS)
Docker and containerized application development
Authentication & Authorization (OAuth2, JWT, RBAC)
API Security (OWASP API Top 10, Input Validation, Secrets Management)
Unit & Integration Testing using Pytest
Git and collaborative development workflow
CI/CD pipeline exposure
Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture.

Good-to-Have Skills:

Azure Services (Azure Key Vault, Azure Container Registry, Azure Monitor/App Insights)
OpenAPI / Swagger
Redis / RabbitMQ
Alembic
Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry
Terraform / Helm
Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
Experience building and scaling SaaS platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop production-grade backend services using FastAPI.
Build and maintain scalable REST APIs and microservices.
Design and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas and SQL queries.
Develop asynchronous background jobs using Celery.
Deploy and manage applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Implement secure authentication and authorization using OAuth2/JWT/RBAC.
Write unit, integration, and functional tests using Pytest.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and production support.
Work closely with Frontend, DevOps, and Product teams to deliver scalable backend solutions.
