As a Software Test Engineer, you will translate user stories and acceptance criteria into robust test cases using tools such as ATF, Tosca, and performance testing frameworks. You’ll ensure that ServiceNow modules—including ITSM, CMDB, and their integrations—are functional, reliable, and optimized for performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Embed performance best practices into application design and development.

  • Identify performance impacts of interdependent services and applications.

Test Execution

  • Develop and maintain component-level and major functionality tests using ATF, Tosca, or similar tools.

  • Update and create performance test scripts to reflect new feature development.

  • Simulate large enterprise environments using tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, BlazeMeter, or Akamai CloudTest.

Test Analysis & Troubleshooting

  • Track and analyze performance metrics to evaluate product quality.

  • Use logs (e.g., Splunk), monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, DataDog), and stakeholder input to identify root causes of performance issues.

  • Present performance test data and insights to technical and non-technical audiences.

Collaboration & Technical Alignment

  • Partner with Developer Leads, Architects, and Product Teams to ensure technical and operational models meet system and business requirements.

  • Align testing efforts with platform architecture and cross-functional delivery goals.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in software test engineering or development within an enterprise environment.

  • Conceptual understanding of software development practices and procedures.

  • Experience with REST API testing and performance modeling.

  • Hands-on experience with performance testing tools and techniques.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with multiple platforms and integrations.

  • ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator.

  • ITIL v3 or v4 certification.

  • Advanced training in agile, product, or software engineering methodologies.

Education

  • Required:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

  • Preferred: Master’s degree or equivalent advanced education in a related field.

Key Attributes

  • Strategic thinker with a broad perspective on enterprise platforms and service management.

  • Strong collaborator who builds relationships across technical and business teams.

  • Results-driven with a focus on delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction.

  • Creative problem solver who challenges the status quo and inspires innovation.

  • Adaptable and resilient in dynamic environments.

  • Committed to professional excellence and continuous improvement.

Decision-Making & Supervision

  • Operates with minimal supervision and moderate autonomy.

  • Manages own workload and receives short- to mid-term assignments.

  • Work is reviewed upon completion; decisions are made independently within defined parameters.

  • Seeks approval occasionally, typically when operating outside normal parameters.

Why Join Us?

At Disney, technology powers the magic. As part of our Enterprise Technology team, you’ll help build and maintain the systems that support our iconic brands and global operations.
