Job Description - QC Manager

Key Responsibilities

Conduct inspection of incoming materials, in-process components, weldments, and finished products.
Ensure products meet quality standards, drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and specifications.
Perform dimensional inspection using measuring instruments and quality tools.
Monitor fabrication and welding quality, including GMAW/MIG, GTAW/TIG, SAW, and SMAW processes.
Check material grades, welding procedures, fit-up, weld quality, and fabrication parameters.
Coordinate with Production and Fabrication teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
Prepare inspection reports, quality records, NCRs, and corrective/preventive action reports.
Ensure compliance with applicable ASME and other international quality standards.
Support supplier quality inspection and incoming material verification.
Assist in process improvement and reduction of rejection/rework.
Coordinate with third-party inspectors and customers during inspections, when required.

Requirements

Experience: 14-15 Years

Qualification: DME / B.E. Mechanical

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of Heavy Fabrication / Sheet Metal / Industrial Fabrication.
Knowledge of industrial Dampers, Gates, Expansion Joints will be an advantage.
Good understanding of different material grades and specifications.
Knowledge of welding and fabrication processes: GMAW, GTAW, SAW, SMAW.
Good knowledge of ASME standards and fabrication quality requirements.
Ability to read engineering and fabrication drawings.
Good knowledge of inspection instruments and dimensional inspection techniques.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
NDT Level II knowledge is preferred
Good documentation and communication skills.
