Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Qlik Sense dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support retail business functions such as sales, inventory, merchandising, supply chain, and customer analytics.
• Build and optimize data models (QVDs, ETL scripts) using Qlik Sense scripting to integrate data from multiple retail sources (POS systems, ERP, e-commerce platforms, CRM).
• Deploy, configure, and manage Qlik Sense environments (Qlik Sense Enterprise/SaaS) on AWS, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and related services.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable BI solutions.
• Implement data governance, security, and access controls (Section Access) within Qlik Sense applications.
• Optimize application performance, including load scripts, data reduction, and reload scheduling.
• Integrate Qlik Sense with cloud-native data pipelines and data lakes/warehouses (e.g., Amazon Redshift, S3, Glue).
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline and dashboard issues, ensuring high availability and data accuracy.
• Stay current with Qlik Sense updates, AWS services, and retail analytics trends to recommend improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of overall IT experience, with a minimum of 3+ years hands-on experience in Qlik Sense development and administration.
• Strong expertise in Qlik Sense scripting, set analysis, data modeling (star/snowflake schemas), and visualization best practices.
• Proven experience working in the retail industry, with an understanding of key retail KPIs (sales performance, inventory turnover, footfall analysis, category management, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Redshift, Glue, and IAM for deploying and managing BI applications.
• Experience integrating Qlik Sense with cloud data warehouses and data lakes.
• Solid understanding of SQL and experience working with large, complex datasets.
• Familiarity with ETL tools and data pipeline orchestration.
• Knowledge of Qlik Sense security framework, including Section Access and multi-tenant environments (for Qlik SaaS).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical and business stakeholders.

Good to Have

• Qlik Sense certification (Qlik Sense Data Architect / Business Analyst).
• AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect / Data Analytics – Specialty).

Experience with other BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) for cross-platform knowledge
