Job Title: QMS Lead & Market Quality Management

Your Role

Reporting to the Quality Leadership Team, you will lead and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) and Market Quality activities for ophthalmic lens manufacturing, edging, and mounting operations in India. You will ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards while driving customer satisfaction and continuous improvement initiatives.

Main Responsibilities

Quality Management System (QMS)

• Own and implement the Quality Management System for ophthalmic lens manufacturing, edging, and mounting operations


• Ensure compliance with ISO 13485:2016 and CDSCO MDR 2017 requirements


• Establish, maintain, and continuously improve QMS processes for Class A ophthalmic devices


• Lead Management Reviews, Internal Audits, CAPA closures, and compliance monitoring


• Maintain audit calendars, compliance dashboards, SOPs, Work Instructions, Quality Manuals, and quality documentation


• Manage document control processes and ensure adherence to regulatory standards
  
  

Market Quality Management

• Manage post-market surveillance activities, complaint investigations, and field quality feedback for ophthalmic lenses and mounted spectacles


• Monitor claims, returns, customer surveys, market feedback, and manufacturing quality trends


• Identify recurring issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)


• Drive continuous improvement projects in collaboration with Operations, Technical, and Regional Quality teams


• Monitor new product launches post-release to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction

Supplier Quality & Compliance

• Approve suppliers and vendors after quality audits


• Monitor supplier quality performance through ratings, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions


• Ensure supplier compliance with company quality and regulatory standards

Stakeholder Management & Leadership

• Independently lead quality-related projects and act as a QMS subject matter expert


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to resolve quality issues and drive improvements


• Support a culture of quality, compliance, and customer-centricity across the organization

Candidate Profile

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Quality Management within Medical Devices, Manufacturing, or related industries


• Proven experience in leading large-scale transformation and certification projects in multicultural environments


• Strong exposure to QMS implementation, audits, CAPA management, and regulatory compliance


• Experience in ophthalmic, healthcare, or medical device industries preferred

Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of ISO 13485:2016 and CDSCO MDR 2017 regulations


• Expertise in Internal Audits, CAPA, Supplier Quality Management, and Post-Market Surveillance


• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities


• Experience in quality improvement and compliance monitoring systems

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or related field
