Job Description - Quality Analyst - E/M OP

QA Responsibilities

Review and monitor day -to -day activities and Service Level Agreements related to deliveries.
Review coder team’s performance and guide for their professional growth and development.
A thorough review of the work performed by coders as per the documentation.
Strong knowledge of Coding domains - E/M – Inpatient and Outpatient, and HCC coding
Strong understanding of medical terms and coding guidelines (ICD -10 and CPT)
Follows coding guidelines and legal requirements to ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory bodies.
Flexible to Code and Audit the charts during the pilot and live coding environments
Ability to communicate with client providers and others with questions about treatments or diagnostic tests given to patients about coding procedures
Ability to produce daily & weekly reports regarding QA of the work performed and identify areas of opportunities by coder
Work in collaboration with the delivery/transition teams to build training modules as the client -specific needs arise.
Work with delivery/transition teams and clients in shadow training and knowledge transfer of new processes/ projects.

Qualifications and skills

Bachelor’s degree in any stream (preferably Life Science)
Minimum 5+ years’ medical coding experience (E/M and/or HCC)
Active Certification from AAPC or AHIMA
Prior experience as a coding auditor (should be familiar with audit methods)
Commitment to a high level of accuracy/quality
Analytical thinking and problem -solving skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Excel proficiency.
Ability to work independently and accomplish targets in a timely manner.
Proficient coding of charts with 100% productivity and more than 95% accuracy (Quality)
Ability to create content and messages that are clear, compelling, and relevant to internal and external customers.
