Job Description - Quality Control Engineer

Engineering / Diploma in Mechanical/ Piping/ Electrical & Instrumentation for Engineering assigned category. Work experiences of more than 10 years / 12 years (respectively) for Oil & Gas / petrochemical facility, chemical, power plant.

1. Review of requisitions and purchase orders & participating the KOM (

2. Preparation of RFI (Request for Inspection) and sending it to Inspection Coordinator in overseas offices.

3. Review and approval of vendors QC documents such as inspection procedure, ITP (Inspection and Test Plan), NDE procedure, PWHT procedure and WPS/PQR.

4. Participation in PIM (Pre-Inspection Meeting) for critical order.

5. Communication with Inspection Coordinator in overseas offices.

6. Instruction/Coordination for shop inspection activities with shop Inspectors and Review of inspection report from shop Inspectors.

7. Coordination of non-conformance for disposition and corrective actions with discipline engineers.

8. Confirmation of IRC (Inspection Release Certificate).

9. Approval of vendor’s Manufacturing Data Book (MRB).

10. Supervises and guides & checking of the work by QC engineers

11. Supports/assists PQCM/Deputy PQCM in managing execution of QC activities.

12. As a QC Engineer it is expected that the role will contribute to the mentoring and training of QC engineers within the department.

Requirements

1. ASNT, CSWIP, PCN or Equivalent NDE certificate with minimum level 2 (For NDE QCE).

2. CSWIP with minimum 3.1 or Equivalent certificate (For Welding QCE).

3. Experience of Home Office QC Engineer for Mechanical equipment (Static / Rotary/Package) in EPC Contractor (For Mechanical QCE).

4. Experience of Home Office QC Engineer for Piping in EPC Contractor (For Piping QCE).

5. Experience of Home Office QC Engineer for Electrical & Instrumentation in EPC Contractor (For E&I QCE).

6. Comprehension of related codes and standards such as ASME, AWS, API, NACE, and ISO.
