• Prepare and review Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs) for machining, fabrication, welding, valve assembly and additive manufacturing.
• Conduct in -process and final inspection of precision -machined components, control components & valves, pressure vessels, and assemblies.
• Lead part qualification and validation activities including FAI, PPAP, and APQP in accordance with aerospace requirements. • Review and interpret engineering drawings (GD & T), specifications, and international standards such as ASTM, ASME, AWS, ISO, and DIN to ensure compliance during inspection and testing.
• Oversee assembly and integration quality for cryogenic system, flow -control systems, tanks, and propulsion subassemblies.
• Validate and monitor special processes such as various types of welding (GTAW, GMAW, EB, Laser, Plasma) and additive manufacturing (3D printing)
• Execute Failure Mode Effect Analysis, Corrective & Preventive Action, and Root Cause Analysis to resolve nonconformities and improve process performance.
• Manage supplier quality audits, vendor capability assessments, and ensure quality compliance for procured components and valve parts.
• Supervise calibration and verification of inspection tools, ensuring traceability and accuracy. • Utilize ERP systems for documentation, nonconformance reporting, and part traceability.
• Support customer audits, QMS certification audits, and maintain complete documentation of inspection and quality records.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and testing teams to ensure first -time -right product realization and compliance during valve and subsystem assembly. Key Skills & Knowledge
• Expertise in cryogenic valves, pressure vessels, and flow -control assemblies.
• Strong understanding of precision machining and aerospace -grade manufacturing.
• Knowledge of valve functional testing, pressure testing, helium leak testing, and assembly inspection.
• Proficient in engineering drawing interpretation, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
• Hands -on experience with CMM, Micrometres, gauges, and basic knowledge of NDT methods (UT, PT, RT, LPT).
• Familiar with WPS, PQR, WPQ and welding inspection documentation.
• Working knowledge of ERP tools (SAP / Oracle / equivalent) and quality data analytics via MS Excel or Power BI.
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and process improvement methodologies.
• Understanding of international standards like AS9100D, AWS D17.1, ASTM, and ISO related to aerospace and valve systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent discipline.
• Experience in aerospace, valve manufacturing, cryogenic systems, and precision machining environments.
