Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in mechanical systems estimation and cost management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate quantity take-offs, reviewing technical specifications, and supporting project teams in delivering cost-effective mechanical solutions across HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and gas systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and gas systems.


• Analyze drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accurate cost estimation.


• Develop and review technical specifications for mechanical systems.


• Collaborate with design, engineering, and project teams to ensure alignment on project scope and cost.


• Monitor project costs and provide value engineering recommendations where applicable.


• Assist in tender preparation, bid evaluation, and contract documentation.


• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and project requirements.


• Utilize software tools to produce accurate reports and documentation.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required to Execute this Role

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E. Mechanical or equivalent).


• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Mechanical Quantity Surveying.


• Proven track record in handling large-scale construction or MEP projects.


• Strong knowledge of:

  • Plumbing systems (water supply and drainage)
  
  
  • Firefighting systems
  
  
  • Gas systems (including LPG)
  
  
  
  


• Hands-on experience in quantity take-offs for all above systems.


• Proficiency in:
  
  
  
  • Revit
  
  
  • AutoCAD
  
  
  • Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills required)
  
  
  
  


• Experience in preparing technical specifications for mechanical systems.


• Familiarity with medical gas systems is an added advantage.
