R Shiny Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled R Developer / R Shiny Developer to design, develop, and maintain production -grade R and Shiny applications. The ideal candidate will have strong data science fundamentals, hands -on experience with modern R packages, and the ability to collaborate effectively within agile teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable R solutions using tidyverse, dplyr, data.table, dtplyr, Rcpp, and Shiny
  
  
• Design, build, and deploy production -ready R Shiny applications with proper testing and version control
  
  
• Optimize R code for performance and scalability
  
  
• Work closely with cross -functional teams to deliver practical, data -driven solutions
  
  
• Use Posit ecosystem tools to manage, deploy, and maintain R applications
  
  
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  
  
• Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn, upskill, and adopt best practices
  
  

Required Skills

• Advanced R programming experience with hands -on expertise in tidyverse, dplyr, data.table, dtplyr, Rcpp, and Shiny
  
  
• Proven experience in building production -grade R Shiny applications (version control, unit & functional testing, packaged solutions)
  
  
• Strong data science and analytical skills
  
  
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  
  
• Excellent communication, coordination, and collaboration skills
  
  

Good -to -Have Skills

• Performance optimisation of R code using data.table, dtplyr, Rcpp, cpp11
  
  
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deploying R solutions using cloud platforms (e.g., Azure DevOps)
  
  
• Hands -on experience with R package development and testing (testthat, shinytest2)
  
  
• Familiarity with object -oriented systems in R (S3, S4, R6)
  
  
• Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to junior R developers
