RCM Charge Entry Specialist

Purpose of Job: What is to be accomplished? (Specific tasks and responsibilities)

The RCM Charge Entry Specialist is responsible to know the process of Charge Entry, should have knowledge of CPT, Modifier, DX code, Payer policy and understand the process of claim submission.

Desired Education, Experience and Skills:

• Graduation in any stream; One year certificate from college or technical school preferred
• 2-3 years of experience in same/related field

· Strong customer service skills, trains individuals on CHMB’s systems and workflow, review and work unpaid patient and insurance balances and credits. 

· Organize, identify, and improve managers workflow through daily and weekly productivity reports report challenges and concerns and request need for assistance to supervisor.

· Ability to perform the duties of the charge entry specialist and AR specialist.

· Achieve goals set forth by supervisor regarding error-free work, transactions, processes and compliance requirements.

· Other duties as assigned.
