To strengthen our HR team in Pune, we are looking for a Regional Compensation & Benefits Manager (Asia).
Role Purpose
Responsible for managing and strengthening Compensation & Benefits across Asia, covering Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam), Japan, South Korea, India and Australia, by ensuring programs, processes and practices are market-relevant, compliant, performance-oriented and aligned with global reward principles
As part of the Global CoE Compensation and Benefits, you will act as the regional C&B subject matter expert, providing practical advice, market insights and governance support to country HR, business leaders and relevant stakeholders across the region.
This role plays a key role in shaping and leading C&B-related change by developing and implementing reward concepts, frameworks, governance models, systems, job architecture initiatives and process improvements across countries and entities, with alignment to regional and global C&B priorities.
Job Scope
Compensation & Benefits Management
• Lead Compensation & Benefits activities across Asia, ensuring programs and practices are competitive, compliant and aligned with global reward principles.
• Support the development, review and maintenance of salary structures, bonus arrangements, benefits programs, job leveling and related C&B frameworks.
• Ensure regional C&B practices are applied consistently while allowing for appropriate local adaptation based on market conditions, business needs and legal requirements.
Annual Salary Review Governance
• Manage the annual salary review process across countries and entities, including budget preparation, process coordination, governance, stakeholder alignment and execution.
• Work with country HR and business leaders to ensure salary review decisions are supported by performance, market competitiveness, internal fairness and budget discipline.
• Strengthen C&B governance by maintaining clear processes, documentation, decision principles and escalation routes, including for joint venture or country-specific requirements.
Market Intelligence & Benchmarking
• Conduct market benchmarking and compensation analysis to support salary ranges, pay positioning, benefits decisions and reward recommendations.
• Provide country-level market insights to identify competitiveness gaps, retention risks and areas requiring management attention.
• Use data and analysis to support exception cases where business justification, market evidence and cost alignment are required.
Reward Program Design & Transformation
• Lead or support the design and improvement of global reward programs, including bonus structures, incentives, benefits and related C&B policies or guidelines.
• Review local benefits and allowances to ensure they remain relevant, competitive, sustainable and aligned with local practices.
• Lead or contribute to C&B-related change initiatives, including governance improvements, HR Hub support, grading and job architecture projects, digitalization, and system or process changes across Asia.
• Drive adoption of new or updated C&B frameworks through clear communication, stakeholder alignment, training and follow-up.
Stakeholder Advisory & Collaboration
• Act as a trusted advisor to HR, managers and business leaders on compensation and benefits matters.
• Provide clear guidance and recommendations using market data, analysis and sound C&B judgement.
• Collaborate with country HR, Finance, Payroll, Legal, global C&B colleagues and other relevant stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of C&B programs, processes and decisions.
• Develop communication materials and training to improve understanding of reward principles, processes and programs across different countries and stakeholder levels.
Job Requirements
• BSc in Human Resources, Business, Finance or related discipline; other disciplines may be considered with relevant experience
• At least 5+ years of professional compensation & benefits experience with both strategic and operational scope across multiple Asian markets
• Proven ability to shape, develop and implement Compensation & Benefits concepts with regional and global scope
• Proven experience leading change efforts in a regional or matrix environment, including implementation of new frameworks, governance models, programs, systems, or processes
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into clear business recommendations
• Strong stakeholder management through collaboration and negotiation and the ability to influence and advise in a matrix and multicultural environment
• Ability to balance global consistency with local flexibility and commercial realities
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to train and advise managers and HR teams
• Fluent in written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with regional and global stakeholders
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data analytics tools and HR systems such as SuccessFactors is advantageous
