Job Description: Regional Head - Dairy Operations

Location: Manor, Palghar District, Maharashtra

Language: Marathi (Mandatory)

Qualification: B.Tech (Dairy) / IDD

Experience: 18–20 Years

Summary

The Regional Head – Dairy Operations plays a pivotal role in driving end -to -end efficiency, quality, and compliance across the Maharashtra region’s dairy production network. Reporting to senior leadership, this position is responsible for overseeing multiple dairy packing stations and co -packing units, ensuring seamless operations from milk intake to final product dispatch. The incumbent will lead a high -performing team, optimize production capacity, and uphold stringent hygiene, safety, and regulatory standards. With a strong focus on cost control, energy efficiency, and continuous improvement, the Regional Head ensures operational excellence while maintaining customer satisfaction and statutory compliance across all locations.

Responsibilities

Production & Operations

Ensure consistent achievement of production targets across all regional units
Coordinate timely milk supply and delivery to packing stations
Maintain accurate material balance and inventory tracking across the region

Cost & Budget Control

Implement and monitor budgetary controls to ensure financial discipline
Optimize spare parts usage and reduce wastage
Lead energy conservation initiatives to improve operational efficiency

Manpower Management

Ensure optimal deployment and utilization of workforce across locations
Drive performance management systems and enhance team productivity
Maintain operational discipline and foster a culture of accountability

Quality, Hygiene & Safety

Enforce strict housekeeping and cleanliness protocols across all facilities
Ensure adherence to safety regulations and best practices
Implement and uphold GMP, ISO, MMPO, and PFA compliance standards

Maintenance & Engineering

Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for critical equipment
Oversee lubrication, calibration, and routine upkeep to minimize downtime

Compliance & Governance

Ensure full compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements
Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and inspections
Prepare and submit MIS reports in a timely and accurate manner
Respond effectively to internal audit findings and recommendations

Finance & Administration

Oversee financial and accounting processes for regional operations
Monitor performance and operations of packing stations and co -packing units

Scope of Role

Responsible for managing all Dairy Packing Stations & Co -packing Units in the region
Covers operations across the Maharashtra Region with multi -location oversight

Key Competencies

Proven operational leadership with a track record in large -scale dairy operations
Strong focus on cost optimization and sustainable resource utilization
In -depth knowledge of dairy industry compliance standards (GMP, ISO, MMPO, PFA)
Expertise in team leadership, performance management, and decision -making
Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi -location operational environments
