Job Description - Regional Head - Worsted Sales & Marketing @ Rishra (Job Band 9)

Job Purpose: To plan, coordinate sales activities and customer contacts and to manage product mix, pricing and margins according to agreed norms. To provide feedback to improve business share or to enter in new market to achieve business goals.

Geography : Vietnam, Srilanka, Turkey, Israel and all other Asian and African Markets

Job Context: The strategic business model adopted is optimizing products and service level by leveraging the strengths and capability of JST to offer worsted spun yarns of international standard through seamless working, improve profitability through sale of customized yarn and increase the shares of value-added yarns in the product-mix. The key focus is on constant and persistent exploration of both domestic and overseas markets and enrich product-mix through new products for expanding the customer base and achieve profitable growth.

Major challenges include:

To retain profitability despite rapidly increasing costs of operation.

To have mitigative practices and combat against heavily fluctuating raw material prices and volatile market and currency.

To enhance and contribute to growth in top line and bottom line sales despite no expansions.

To drive quality benchmarking and product quality improvement in international markets.

Supporting Actions

Ensure Budgeted Sales Revenue

Ensure maximum orders as per budget

Monitor and track competitor activities and replicate best practices so the plant efficiency improves

Increase VAP Business

Research and derive insights on customer/market for a premium product

Analyze the operational feasibility of production and benchmark quality parameters at competitive prices

Seed marketing of new product to the right customer/market

Ensuring Profit and Annual Improvement Plan

Ensure the marginal budget targets are met based on the product mixes being sold

Drive profitability of the Wool Business by executing plans of stretch targets designed to maximize productivity, quality and sustainable competitive targets

Plan marketing campaigns to tap new customers

Coordinate and direct marketing efforts to maximize profitability and increase market share by integrating price and promotional strategy

New Product Development and Business Expansion

Lead the enhancement of product-mix through continuous new product development and formulating marketing plan for the same

Analyze insights from customer feedback to support and advice on product development processes

Develop new market positions for extended reach and customer base

Explore and generate new avenues for new business development

Interact and socialize with international top grade spinners for knowledge sharing

Explore and evaluate new digital initiatives like Wool Portal and SAP for enquiry before order finalization/ visit report and tracking of customer profiles

Plan and implement customer outreach campaigns

People Development

Guide and motivate team members and create a space for sharing and implementing new ideas

Identify training needs of team members and work with HR dept for training and development activities
