1. Job Purpose
Overview:
The Regional Manager Sales (East) will lead the sales efforts in West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha & North East (Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal, Tripura, Mizoram, Manipur) & Nagaland ) focusing on driving business growth for Aquarius product portfolio, including boom pumps, line pumps, and batching plants. The role involves developing a high-performing sales team, building a robust dealer network, and expanding the market footprint in these regions.
The role requires managing seasoned Area Sales Managers and working closely with other departments to ensure smooth coordination and execution of the company's sales strategies.
2. Key Responsibilities
Market Expansion & Dealer Network Development:
Develop and execute strategic plans to penetrate new markets in Eastern India focusing on concreting equipment. Conduct dealer training programs to enhance product knowledge and ensure alignment with company sales strategies.
Sales Team Development & Leadership:
Recruit, train, and mentor a regional sales team to ensure effective coverage and sales execution across the territory.
Set clear performance goals for the team, ensuring consistent monitoring, support, and performance reviews.
Drive team motivation and productivity, ensuring alignment with overall company sales objectives.
Customer Relationship Management & Sales Execution:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, dealers, and distributors to drive business growth.
Lead negotiations for major contracts with corporate clients and government bodies in Eastern India.
Act as the primary point of contact for customer escalations, ensuring resolution in coordination with technical and service teams.
Sales Strategy & Performance:
Develop region-specific sales strategies and objectives that are in line with the company's overall goals.
Track, analyse, and report on sales performance for the region, providing insights and recommendations to the Head of Sales.
Ensure timely submission of sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.
Cross-functional Coordination:
Collaborate closely with product development, marketing, and service teams to ensure the sales strategy is aligned with market demand and product features.
Work with the logistics and operations teams to ensure smooth supply chain management.
Compliance & Market Intelligence:
Ensure that all sales activities comply with company policies, as well as local and international regulations.
Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in the Eastern India and Bangladesh markets to adjust strategies as necessary.
