As an Admission Counselor, you will play a key role in helping prospective students make informed educational and career decisions while guiding them through the admissions journey. This is a target-driven position that combines consultative counseling with sales, offering the opportunity to directly impact student success and enrollment outcomes. You will engage with prospective learners, understand their goals, recommend suitable academic programs, and provide continuous support throughout the application process. Working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless admissions experience while maintaining high standards of customer engagement. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about education, communication, and achieving measurable results.
Accountabilities:
- Provide personalized academic and career counseling to prospective students, addressing questions related to courses, eligibility criteria, admissions, tuition fees, scholarships, and career opportunities.
- Recommend suitable academic programs based on each student's aspirations, interests, and professional goals while effectively communicating program features and learning outcomes.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective students through outbound outreach, inbound inquiries, and ongoing relationship management.
- Drive student enrollments by converting qualified leads, consistently achieving monthly admissions and sales targets.
- Guide applicants and their families through the admissions process, ensuring timely follow-ups, application completion, and enrollment confirmation.
- Maintain accurate records of counseling activities, student interactions, and lead status using CRM tools while continuously updating the prospect database.
- Stay informed about educational trends, competitive offerings, and evolving career pathways to provide relevant and valuable guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in any discipline; qualifications related to Education, Psychology, or similar fields are an advantage.
- 2–4 years of experience in admissions counseling, academic counseling, career guidance, or a similar student-facing role.
- Proven ability to work in a target-oriented sales environment with a strong track record of achieving enrollment or conversion goals.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, counseling, and persuasion skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with prospective students and parents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with CRM platforms is preferred.
- Good understanding of educational programs, admissions processes, and career pathways; training will be provided where needed.
- Fluency in both English and Hindi is required.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and maintaining high levels of organization and accuracy.
