About the Opportunity:  

Sagent is seeking a Senior Business Continuity Planning Coordinator (BCPC). This role will focus on developing, maintaining, and testing Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), conducting Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Technology Impact Analysis (TIA), Tabletop Exercises, and ensuring the company’s resilience during disruptions. This position will maintain documentation, conduct audits, and lead BCDR-related initiatives. 

In addition to BCPC responsibilities, the role will support other governance activities within the Security Compliance team, including disaster recovery planning and testing, process improvement, policy development, ISO certifications, internal/external audits, alignment of continuity efforts with operational needs and other duties as assigned. The role will collaborate across departments, use effective communication to drive a culture of integrity, and track performance metrics to recommend continuous improvement opportunities. 

We will count on you to:

• Provide overall direction and oversight for the Sagent BCP program to support and maintain a strong business resiliency, preparedness and response environment.


• Maintain, update, validate business impact assessments (BIAs) to identify critical applications/systems and recovery capabilities and priorities


• Maintain, update, validate technology impact assessments (TIAs) to identify critical applications/systems and recovery capabilities and priorities


• Coordinate actions to mitigate business continuity risks associated with offices, functions and operations to maintain the well-being of employees, protect assets, and provide continued service for clients during business disruptions


• Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of business resiliency plans, policies and procedures across all assigned business units. Support recovery team leaders in planning, maintaining and implementing active recovery plans.


• Coordinate delivery of BCP program training and awareness activities across departments.


• Regularly assesses recovery capability, through reviews, testing and exercising, and reports on business resiliency status to stakeholder groups.


• Coordinate activities with the functions/groups that play a role in crisis management, including updates to crisis management documentation and facilitation of crisis management testing and exercising.


• Oversees business resiliency initiatives consistent with goals and objectives.


• Coordinates with other BCP and business resources to support a consistent approach to the efficient use and application of business resiliency resources and standards.


• Support the governance, project management and quality management activities of Sagent’s BCP program.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in cyber security or a similar field


• At least 5 years of experience supporting, partnering, and interacting with internal or external business clients across multiple levels


• At least 5 years of risk management, business continuity management, technology resilience, or a related discipline, or a combination


• Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or related certifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ500) or related cyber security certifications


• 6+ years of risk management, business continuity management, technology, or a related discipline, or a combination


• 6+ years of Financial Services industry experience within risk or technology, or combination of both.
