This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Custom Software Engineering Lead in India.
This role is a senior technical leadership opportunity focused on designing and delivering scalable Oracle CPQ Cloud (Big Machines) solutions within complex enterprise environments.
You will define architecture standards, guide engineering teams, and oversee end-to-end solution delivery across the CPQ ecosystem.
The position plays a key role in shaping product configuration, pricing, commerce, and integration capabilities across enterprise systems.
You will collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into robust, high-performing solutions.
A strong emphasis is placed on engineering excellence, governance, and continuous improvement across the software lifecycle.
This role offers high visibility and impact, driving mission-critical CPQ transformations across global clients in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Oracle CPQ Cloud (Big Machines) solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from functional specification and technical design to deployment and production support.
- Define and enforce coding standards, development best practices, and architectural governance across teams.
- Design and implement integrations with CRM and ERP systems using APIs, SOAP-based web services, and pre-built connectors.
- Manage CPQ components including product configuration, pricing rules, commerce flows, document engine, and BML-based customizations.
- Drive CPQ migration initiatives and change management processes across enterprise environments.
- Handle incident management, service requests, and issue resolution across CPQ and connected systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical delivery with business objectives and operational priorities.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of IT services experience, including at least 6+ years working with Oracle CPQ Cloud (Big Machines).
- Strong expertise in Oracle CPQ architecture, configuration, and end-to-end CPQ lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience with HTML/XHTML, XML, Java, JavaScript, JSON, AJAX, and SOAP-based web services.
- Proven experience in CPQ modules such as pricing, commerce, product configuration, document engine, and BML scripting.
- Solid background in system integration with CRM/ERP platforms and enterprise application landscapes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams and manage complex technical delivery.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders effectively.
- Bachelor’s or equivalent qualification, with 15+ years of overall relevant experience preferred.
