Accountabilities:
The Data Architect will take ownership of designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise data solutions while acting as a trusted technical partner for business and technology teams. The role requires strong architectural vision, hands-on execution capabilities, and the ability to drive successful delivery across multiple projects.
- Collaborate with technical teams to deliver multiple data initiatives simultaneously from planning through execution.
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable data solutions using Python, Snowflake, and SQL.
- Architect modern data pipelines, data warehouse solutions, and analytics platforms aligned with business needs.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and lead architecture discussions.
- Partner with Business and IT stakeholders to gather, refine, validate, and prioritize requirements.
- Build data solutions independently when rapid technical execution is required.
- Review, maintain, and improve code quality delivered by engineering teams.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality, performance, scalability, and timeline expectations.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to engineering teams.
- Drive continuous improvement across data processes, architecture, and development practices.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data architecture, engineering, and analytics, combined with strong technical leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
- 10–15 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Data Analytics, or related technical roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python development for data engineering solutions.
- Advanced expertise in Snowflake and modern cloud-based data platforms.
- Strong SQL skills with experience designing and optimizing complex queries.
- Experience designing scalable data pipelines, data warehouses, and analytics solutions.
- Working knowledge of Looker or similar business intelligence and visualization platforms.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical architectures and solutions.
- Prior experience in the Retail domain is highly valued.
- Experience leading technical teams, reviewing code, and driving engineering best practices.
- Strong understanding of modern data ecosystems and analytics platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with global and cross-functional teams.
