What We're Looking For

We are looking for a News Editor to join our News team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing various news content items meant to explain the latest trends in finance and investing to our wide readership base. This includes projects like graphics-based explainers and items for our Wall Street Breakfast newsletter. You will also produce text stories based both on breaking news and on longer-term investing trends. You will work closely with other members of our news team, as well as members of our product team, to develop new content over time.

• Writing short- and long-form news articles
• Creating charts and graphs using a dataset
• Selecting the critical news items to be featured in our email newsletter
• Use various AI tools to create charts and data presentations based on financial information
• Develop fresh content types based on user interest and Seeking Alpha’s strategic initiatives

• Strong familiarity with financial markets
• Comfort with discussing the details of financial statements, SEC filings, and other sources of financial information
• The ability to write quickly, concisely, and accurately about breaking news events
• The ability to discuss breaking news events with an eye on the “big picture”
• Strong headline-writing skills
• The ability to multitask, balancing both short-term and long-term deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to identify important news items, separating “news from noise” 
• The ability to work well in a team context and coordinate efforts with fellow team members when needed
• The ability to learn new skills quickly and incorporate them into your day-to-day workflow
• Attention to detail

Night Shifts: 6:00 PM to 3:30 AM

Location: Remote work (India)
