Job Title: Senior Staff Engineer / Engineering Manager (Full Stack)

Location: Remote (Hybrid for Chennai-based candidates)

Experience Required: 12 to 16 years

Notice Period: Immediate to 30 days preferred (up to 45 days if serving notice)
Industry Preference: Product-based companies (Insurance domain preferred – e.g., Policybazaar, Bankbazaar, iQuanti)

About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Staff Engineer or Engineering Manager with deep technical expertise and a strong leadership background to join our high-impact product team. The ideal candidate will bring a full-stack mindset with a focus on React, Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, and AWS, along with proven experience in architecting complex systems, leading engineering teams, and delivering scalable products.

Key Responsibilities:
Architect, design, and build robust full-stack applications

Guide the technical roadmap and influence the overall engineering strategy

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams – Product, Design, QA, DevOps

Manage and mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and enforce quality standards

Ensure high performance, security, and scalability of the tech stack

Stay updated with emerging technologies and drive innovation

Lead by example in solving challenging technical problems

Required Skills & Qualifications:
12–16 years of total experience in software development

Minimum 5 years of recent hands-on experience in React

4+ years of experience in Node.js

4+ years of experience in TypeScript

Strong experience in GraphQL and API design

Solid understanding of AWS services and infrastructure

Experience with Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) like Cloudflare, Akamai, AWS CloudFront etc. (minimum 4 years)

Proven experience in architecting complex systems

Experience managing engineering teams (include team size and duration)

Excellent problem-solving skills and communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in insurance, fintech, or enterprise product companies

Strong focus on system design, scalability, performance tuning, and cost optimization

Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools
