Platform Operator (Energy Background)

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Platform Operator with an energy background to support data assessments, vendor coordination, and platform operations for energy-related projects. This role plays a critical part in managing and inputting data across multiple platforms, verifying vendor assessments, and supporting internal and external communications related to solar and battery energy systems.

You’ll work closely with engineering, operations, and customer success teams to ensure high data quality and accurate assessments for energy usage, rebates, and system design.

Key Responsibilities

🔍 Data Input & Assessment

Accurately transcribe and input electricity invoice line items into internal systems.

Upload and manipulate interval energy data (CSV or system-specific formats) for analysis and reporting.

Perform site-level data entry, including:

Rooftop or ground-mount identification

Battery size specifications

Applicable state/federal rebate information

Use judgment to sense check and adjust system-generated assessments to improve accuracy or flag issues.

🛰️ Platform & Mapping Support

Map roof layouts using Helioscope or similar platforms (preferred, but not essential).

Maintain accurate platform records for energy modeling and reporting.

🤝 Vendor & Customer Support

Review vendor-submitted data and scoring for consistency and accuracy.

Respond to vendor inquiries and provide clarifications or follow-ups.

Distribute or complete surveys for vendors and customers as part of quality control and onboarding processes.

Requirements

✅ Must-Have Skills

Prior experience or strong understanding of electricity billing, interval data, or energy systems.

High attention to detail with excellent data entry and transcription accuracy.

Ability to interpret utility bills, solar proposals, and vendor assessments.

Strong communication skills, especially for handling external vendors and stakeholders.

💡 Nice-to-Have

Familiarity with Helioscope or other energy modeling tools.

Experience in rooftop solar or battery storage assessments.

Background in renewable energy, utilities, or sustainability services.

Knowledge of incentive programs, rebates, or regulatory frameworks in energy.
