This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Platform SecOps Engineer in India.
This role offers an opportunity to be a hands-on security professional responsible for implementing and maintaining robust security controls across hybrid and on-premises infrastructures. You will ensure compliance with frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC 2, and PCI DSS while supporting a large enterprise environment. Your work will include platform hardening, operating and tuning security tools, vulnerability management, and incident response. The position requires collaboration with infrastructure and operations teams to integrate security into daily workflows. Accountabilities:
- Implement, operate, and continuously improve security controls across hybrid and on-premises platforms (compute, virtualization, OS, network services)
- Administer and tune security tooling such as SIEM, EDR, and CSPM to enhance alert quality and reduce noise
- Enforce secure configuration baselines, hardening standards, and coordinate patching/upgrades
- Manage security logging: onboarding, parsing, normalization, correlation rules, dashboards, and alerting use-cases
- Perform vulnerability scanning, remediation tracking, and risk-based prioritization
- Support incident response activities, including triage, containment, evidence collection, and post-incident improvements
- Strengthen identity and access management for platform administration, including least privilege enforcement and access reviews
- Maintain security runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation; contribute to audit preparation for compliance frameworks
- Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to embed security into daily operations, including change and release management
- 7–9 years of hands-on experience in Platform Security, SecOps, or Infrastructure Security
- Strong experience with SIEM, EDR, and CSPM platforms in production environments
- Expertise in Linux and Windows hardening, endpoint/server security, and baseline enforcement
- Solid understanding of the vulnerability management lifecycle (scan → triage → remediation → verification)
- Experience with hybrid/on-prem environments, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and core network security fundamentals
- Ability to write clear runbooks and collaborate effectively with security, operations, and infrastructure teams
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CISSP, CISM, or cloud security certifications (AWS, Azure) preferred
- Exposure to regulated environments (telecom, government, financial) and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS) is advantageous
- Scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) are a plus
