About the Role
We are looking for a Principal Graphics Platform Engineer to spearhead the design and evolution of an intelligent visual computing platform that transforms structured data, semantic inputs, and AI-generated prompts into high-fidelity, production-ready visual outputs.
This role sits at the intersection of real-time rendering, distributed systems, and design automation. You will lead the architecture of scalable graphics infrastructure that powers dynamic, data-driven visual experiences for a rapidly growing global audience. What You’ll Own
1. Graphics Platform Architecture
Design and implement distributed systems for automated visual synthesis at scale.
Build end-to-end pipelines that convert structured schemas, datasets, and textual instructions into dynamic graphics.
Architect infrastructure optimized for high concurrency and low-latency rendering.
Establish reliability standards across the full visual generation lifecycle—from input parsing to final output delivery.
Drive long-term platform strategy for extensible, scalable graphics systems.
2. Intelligent Layout & Automated Composition
Design programmable layout engines for structured diagrams, workflows, and data visualizations.
Encode visual design principles into algorithmic layout rules and constraint systems.
Integrate AI-driven heuristics to enhance layout quality, adaptability, and contextual awareness.
Create reusable visual primitives and constraint frameworks to ensure consistency across generated outputs.
Develop systems that balance aesthetic quality with computational efficiency.
3. Real-Time Rendering & Optimization
Build rendering engines optimized for performance, scalability, and resource efficiency.
Implement incremental rendering, intelligent caching strategies, and parallel computation models.
Evaluate and optimize vector and raster workflows based on output requirements and performance constraints.
Establish performance benchmarks and continuously improve latency and throughput metrics.
Lead profiling and optimization efforts across distributed deployments.
4. Visual Infrastructure & Component Systems
Develop modular graphics libraries and extensible template frameworks.
Define structured visual tokens and styling systems to ensure cohesive design standards.
Enable seamless integration with browser-based rendering technologies (SVG, Canvas, WebGL).
Establish architectural standards for maintainable and extensible visual systems.
Drive consistency across multi-surface visual outputs.
5. Technical Leadership & Cross-Functional Strategy
Partner closely with Product, UX, and AI teams to align platform capabilities with business objectives.
Translate product vision into scalable technical roadmaps.
Provide architectural guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
Champion best practices in performance engineering, code quality, and platform reliability.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on experience in graphics programming using Python, C++, or similar languages.
Deep expertise in rendering systems, layout algorithms, and visualization frameworks.
Strong proficiency in SVG-based generation and browser rendering technologies (SVG DOM, Canvas API, WebGL).
Experience designing scalable, high-performance systems with concurrent workloads.
Demonstrated ability to quantify and optimize visual quality through measurable engineering metrics.
Strong architectural mindset with experience building platform-level systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience integrating AI/ML models into layout automation or generative design workflows.
Background in building diagramming tools, visual editors, or data visualization platforms.
Knowledge of distributed systems optimization and performance profiling techniques.
Understanding of vector vs. raster trade-offs in high-scale rendering environments.
