This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to support the financial success of multiple projects in a fully remote environment. In this role, you will oversee project budgets, monitor financial performance, and provide valuable insights that help drive informed business decisions. You will work closely with project managers and finance stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, effective cost control, and compliance with accounting standards. Accountabilities:
- Prepare, monitor, and maintain project budgets, forecasts, actuals, and variance analyses to support effective financial management.
- Track project expenditures and ensure spending remains aligned with approved budgets and internal financial controls.
- Review and process invoices, ensuring timely approvals and payments to suppliers and contractors.
- Produce monthly financial reports that provide clear insights into project performance for management review.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing reconciliations and ensuring financial records are complete and accurate.
- Partner with project managers to provide cost control guidance, financial planning support, and budget recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and audit requirements while maintaining complete project documentation.
- Contribute to ad hoc financial analysis and reporting initiatives to support broader business objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in project accounting or a similar finance-focused role.
- Strong understanding of project accounting principles, budgeting, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a remote work environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Experience within the real estate or property management industry is considered an advantage.
