We are seeking a proactive Renewal Specialist to manage and optimize the subscription renewal process for a portfolio of global customers. In this role, you will ensure timely and accurate renewals, strengthen customer relationships, and support long-term revenue growth. You will collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Legal, and Finance teams to streamline processes, identify upsell opportunities, and mitigate churn risks. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Your work will directly impact customer retention, recurring revenue, and overall business success.
Accountabilities:
- Manage the end-to-end renewal process for assigned customers, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Prepare and deliver renewal quotes in coordination with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers.
- Engage proactively with customers 90–120 days before subscription expiration to review options and secure commitments.
- Identify upsell, cross-sell, and co-terming opportunities during the renewal process.
- Ensure compliance with pricing guidelines, contracts, and approval policies.
- Forecast renewal bookings and maintain accurate data in CRM systems.
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Operations teams to resolve issues and remove barriers to renewal.
- Monitor at-risk accounts, flag churn risks, and support retention strategies.
- Maintain detailed records for audits and compliance, and contribute to process improvements in the renewal lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in SaaS renewals, sales operations, customer success, or account management.
- Strong understanding of recurring revenue models, subscription licensing, and quoting tools such as CPQ and Salesforce.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced with CRM/ERP systems like Salesforce or NetSuite.
- Collaborative mindset with a customer-first attitude.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred: experience in cybersecurity, identity management, or enterprise software environments, and familiarity with EMEA, APAC, and LATAM renewal practices.
