Job Description - Senior HR Manager - Talent Acquisition

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Salary range: Rs 500000 - Rs 1900000 (ie INR 5-19 LPA)

Min Experience: 6 years

Location: west bengal

JobType: full-time

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Human Resources professional with a strong focus on recruitment and talent acquisition. The ideal candidate will play a key role in identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent across multiple functions while ensuring an efficient and positive candidate experience. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to manage end-to-end recruitment processes in a fast-paced environment.

The HR professional will work closely with leadership, hiring managers, and cross-functional teams to understand business hiring needs and build effective recruitment strategies. The role also involves strengthening employer branding, improving hiring processes, and ensuring the organization consistently hires high-quality talent aligned with its long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, including role scoping, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management.
  • Partner with hiring managers and business leaders to understand workforce planning needs and develop effective hiring strategies.
  • Source candidates through multiple channels including job portals, professional networks, referrals, social platforms, and direct outreach.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future hiring requirements.
  • Conduct candidate screening, competency-based interviews, and evaluation to ensure quality hiring decisions.
  • Coordinate interview processes between candidates and internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless and efficient hiring experience.
  • Negotiate compensation packages and manage offer rollouts while ensuring alignment with company policies.
  • Drive recruitment metrics and analytics such as time-to-hire, quality of hire, and sourcing effectiveness to continuously improve hiring processes.
  • Enhance employer branding by representing the organization across professional platforms and recruitment initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with internal HR policies and hiring standards throughout the recruitment process.
  • Support onboarding coordination to ensure a smooth transition for new hires into the organization.
  • Mentor junior recruiters and contribute to building strong recruitment capabilities within the HR team.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong expertise in recruitment and talent acquisition strategies.
  • Proven experience managing high-volume and specialized hiring across multiple roles and seniority levels.
  • Excellent candidate sourcing skills using job portals, LinkedIn, professional communities, and referral networks.
  • Strong interviewing and candidate assessment capabilities.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with hiring managers and senior leadership.
  • Data-driven approach with experience using recruitment metrics and reporting tools.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple hiring mandates simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and modern recruitment tools is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • MBA or equivalent HR qualification is preferred.
  • 6–21 years of relevant HR experience with a strong emphasis on recruitment.
