This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SharePoint Developer – WFH based in India.
This role is focused on designing, developing, and maintaining modern SharePoint-based solutions that power enterprise collaboration and business processes. You will work extensively with SharePoint Online and on-premise environments, building scalable and customized digital workplace solutions using SPFx and Microsoft 365 technologies. The position involves developing web parts, workflows, and integrations that enhance productivity and streamline business operations across teams. You will also play a key role in automating processes using Power Platform tools and integrating SharePoint with broader Microsoft ecosystem services. The environment is highly technical and collaborative, requiring close interaction with business users to translate requirements into effective solutions. It is a fully remote opportunity offering exposure to enterprise-scale implementations and modern cloud-based collaboration tools. This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys both hands-on coding and solution-oriented problem solving in a Microsoft-centric ecosystem.
Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint Online and SharePoint On-Premise solutions aligned with business requirements
- Build custom components including SPFx web parts, extensions, and applications using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript
- Develop and manage SharePoint customizations such as site templates, content types, lists, libraries, and permissions
- Create and automate business workflows using Power Apps, Power Automate, and related Microsoft Power Platform tools
- Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft 365 services including Teams, OneDrive, Outlook, and Azure AD
- Support API-based integrations with external systems using REST, CSOM, JSOM, and Microsoft Graph APIs
- Assist in SharePoint migration projects and ensure smooth transition from on-premise to cloud environments
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, documentation, and governance assistance for SharePoint solutions
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in SharePoint development (Online and/or On-Premise environments)
- Strong hands-on experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), React, TypeScript, and JavaScript
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, jQuery, REST APIs, CSOM, JSOM, and Microsoft Graph API
- Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Microsoft 365 integration tools
- Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, site governance, metadata, and permissions management
- Experience working with Azure AD authentication and Microsoft 365 ecosystem tools
- Knowledge of SharePoint migration tools such as ShareGate or Metalogix is an advantage
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work directly with business stakeholders
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments is preferred
- Microsoft 365 or SharePoint certifications are a plus
