Job Description:

MPS is seeking an experienced Accountant to support our India subsidiary’s financial operations, primarily focused on Sales/FAE activities. This role includes ad hoc support for accounting operations of Asia subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with all applicable Indian taxes, group reporting standards, and Travel & Expense(T&E) management policies.
 

The Senior Accountant reports to the Asia Controller and will be based in Bangalore, India.

Responsibilities: 

• Manages day-to-day accounting activities and performs month-end close activities including preparing and reviewing journal entries.
• Prepares and presents monthly account reconciliations, close analytics, variance analysis and ad hoc reports.
• Leads and oversees daily AP operations to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing of supplier invoices and employees expenses reimbursements.
• Prepare GST returns and assist with statutory compliance and audits.
• Oversee Travel & Expense submission, review for policy compliance, and ensure timely reimbursement.
• Handles intercompany transactions, including billing, reconciliation and documentation.
• Liaise with banks and manage online payment transactions.
• Supports financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.
• Provide administrative and operational support to the team, including office coordination and cross-functional collaboration.
• Support local bank/government interactions (signatory updates, document submission)
• Ad hoc tasks as assigned

Qualifications: 

• Qualified accountant (CA, CPA or equivalent) or Degree in Accounting/Finance.
• >6 years accounting or audit experience preferred
• Knowledge of India accounting standards (Ind AS) and statutory compliance, including GST and income tax.
