Technical Architect / Lead - Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O

We are seeking a highly experienced and versatile Technical Architect / Technical Lead with 17+ years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics environments, including 5+ years of deep expertise in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O). The ideal candidate has a proven history of playing multiple roles—including Architect, Technical Lead, and Developer—and is well-versed in on-premise AX versions and cloud-based D365 environments.

You will play a key leadership role in designing end-to-end D365 F&O solutions, managing full-cycle implementations, migrations, and upgrades. You’ll also be responsible for architecting integrations with Dataverse and Power Platform components, overseeing CI/CD pipelines, and managing complex enterprise-level transformation programs.

Skills Required:

• 17+ years of experience in ERP solution delivery with deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365.
• Minimum of 5+ years working specifically on D365 Finance & Operations implementations.
• Strong technical knowledge of X++, .NET, Azure DevOps, LCS (Lifecycle Services), and Microsoft Azure.
• Expertise in migrations, upgrades, and greenfield implementations of D365 F&O.
• Experienced with AX 2009/2012/AX7.0, and successful upgrade to D365 F&O Cloud.
• Solid foundation in D365 data migration strategies, Dual-write, and Dataverse integration patterns.
• Excellent understanding of D365 F&O data structures, reporting frameworks, and performance tuning.
• Demonstrated experience in setting up and working with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for D365 builds.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate).
• Experience working in large, multi-region deployments with demanding stakeholder environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with C-level stakeholders, business users, and technical teams.
• Outstanding communication and documentation skills.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Act as the technical lead and solution architect for D365 F&O-related programs.
• Lead and mentor technical teams across the design, development, implementation, and support phases of D365 projects.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, translating business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Architect and implement integration templates and patterns using Dataverse, Azure services, Power Platform, and legacy connectors.
• Take ownership of enterprise migrations, including multi-region and multi-billion-dollar acquisitions, ensuring seamless transition to the Core Finance System on D365.
• Lead and manage full lifecycle upgrades, including AX 2009/2012/7.0 to D365 F&O.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for managing ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) across development, staging, and production environments.
• Review and optimize the performance, reliability, and scalability of the D365 environments.
• Ensure best practices in customizations, extensions, and integrations aligned with Microsoft standards and enterprise grade performance.
• Conduct architectural and code reviews, ensuring highest quality and maintainability standards.
• Provide technical oversight and governance for vendor or partner-led developments.
