Web Data Sourcing Engineer - Contract (6 Months)

We are currently recruiting for a Web Data Sourcing Engineer to join our team on a 6- month contract.

Our Engineering & Data Management function design, build and deploy software products for a wide range of financial market clients with a primary focus on the fund data value chain. Our agile teams come together as global solution providers using the latest tools and innovative techniques. 

Your key responsibilities as a Web Data Sourcing Engineer will include:
• Automating the collection and onward processing of investment fund data using a range of software platforms
• Coding, configuring, and maintaining website data extraction software for optimal performance and coverage
• Applying your expertise in JavaScript, jQuery, RegEx, CSS, and HTML to ensure reliability and scalability
• Collaborating closely with colleagues across the UK, Europe, and India to improve data coverage in target markets
• Adhering to all general security responsibilities outlined in company policy

You will need the following experience and skills to join us as a Web Data Sourcing Engineer:
• You must be highly proficient in building reliable web scrapers
• You must have at least 2 years' work experience
• You should have strong working knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, RegEx, CSS, and HTML
• You will have experience coding and configuring software for website data extraction
• You must be motivated with great attention to detail and accuracy
• You should be fluent in English and comfortable communicating across tech and non-tech teams
