Job Description - Workday HRIS Specialist, Principal

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Workday HRIS Specialist, Principal in India.
As a Workday HRIS Specialist, Principal, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing and maintaining the HR technology ecosystem to support organizational growth and operational efficiency. You will manage, configure, and troubleshoot Workday modules, including Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and Performance & Development, ensuring that HR processes are accurate, efficient, and compliant. Partnering with HR, IT, and business stakeholders, you will provide insights through custom reports and dashboards, lead HRIS projects such as system upgrades and integrations, and drive continuous improvements in HR operations. This role combines technical expertise with strategic influence, allowing you to shape HR systems that empower employees and leaders alike. You will also mentor HR staff, support regulatory compliance, and contribute to a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Accountabilities:

    • Administer, configure, and optimize Workday HRIS modules, including Core HR, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, and Recruiting.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze HR business processes and recommend enhancements for improved efficiency.
    • Create and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and analytics to provide actionable insights to HR and leadership teams.
    • Lead HRIS-related projects, including system upgrades, integrations, and new module implementations, coordinating cross-functional teams.
    • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
    • Provide training and guidance to HR staff on Workday functionalities and updates.
    • Collaborate with IT and external vendors to troubleshoot issues and enhance system capabilities.
    • Regularly audit system configurations and data to safeguard sensitive employee information.
    • Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in HRIS administration, with strong expertise in Workday.
    • Proven experience in payroll processes and HRIS project management, including leading cross-functional teams.
    • Deep knowledge of Workday modules such as Payroll, Recruiting, Advanced Compensation, and Benefits.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
    • Experience with Workday integrations and reporting tools is a plus.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR reporting platforms.
