Job Description – Renewable Energy (Solar) Trainer

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Renewable Energy (Solar) Trainer to deliver skill development and vocational training programmes in the solar energy sector. The trainer will be responsible for imparting theoretical and practical knowledge on solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, installation, operation, maintenance, safety standards, and emerging renewable energy technologies while ensuring quality training outcomes and industry readiness of trainees.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and hands -on training in Renewable Energy and Solar PV courses.
  
• Train candidates on solar photovoltaic systems, solar panel installation, commissioning, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  
• Conduct practical demonstrations on rooftop solar systems, solar pumps, solar street lights, inverters, batteries, and associated equipment.
  
• Develop lesson plans, training materials, practical assignments, and assessments.
  
• Monitor trainee attendance, performance, and learning progress.
  
• Conduct theory and practical assessments as per project guidelines.
  
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, electrical standards, and renewable energy regulations.
  
• Organise site visits, industry interactions, and practical exposure sessions.
  
• Support placement activities and prepare trainees for employment opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
  
• Maintain training records, reports, assessments, and project documentation.
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Renewable Energy, Energy Engineering, or related discipline.
  
• Certified Solar PV Trainer or relevant sector certification preferred.
  
• Strong understanding of solar technologies, renewable energy systems, and electrical fundamentals.
  
• Excellent communication and training delivery skills.
  

Experience

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in the Renewable Energy or Solar Industry.
  
• Experience in solar installation, maintenance, project implementation, or technical training.
