To plan, deliver, and assess the IBDP and IGCSE Computer Science courses in alignment with IB and Cambridge curriculum standards. The teacher will foster computational thinking, creativity, and ethical use of technology while preparing students for internal and external assessments. The role also involves mentoring students, collaborating with colleagues, and supporting the school’s digital innovation initiatives.
Teach and assess Computer Science for IGCSE (Grades 9–10) and IBDP (HL/SL, Grades 11–12).
Design and implement engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with IB and Cambridge frameworks.
Promote algorithmic thinking, programming, and real-world application of computing concepts.
Develop and deliver differentiated lesson plans and assessments.
Supervise and guide students through Internal Assessments (IAs) and coursework.
Prepare students for external examinations and ensure syllabus completion.
Integrate technology, programming tools, and emerging tech concepts into classroom practice.
Track, evaluate, and communicate student progress effectively.
Collaborate with department members to ensure curriculum coherence and innovation.
Participate in co-curricular programs, including robotics, coding, or AI clubs.
Engage in ongoing professional development, including IB/Cambridge workshops.
Uphold school values, academic standards, and safeguarding principles.
Essential
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in Computer Science at secondary or higher secondary level.
Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, C++), algorithms, databases, and system design.
Familiarity with both IGCSE and IB Diploma curriculum structures and assessments.
Excellent communication, classroom management, and technological skills.
Fluency in English (spoken and written).
Commitment to continuous professional growth and reflective teaching practice.
