Revit Designer

Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Revit Designer with a strong background in wood frame construction to join our design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality architectural and structural models using Revit, focusing on residential and light commercial wood-framed buildings.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Revit models for wood-framed structures.
• Create detailed construction documents including plans, sections, elevations, and details.
• Coordinate models with architectural, structural, and MEP consultants.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members throughout the design and construction documentation phases.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to relevant codes, company standards, and client requirements.
• Participate in clash detection and model coordination meetings.
• Update drawings and models as changes occur during design development or construction.

Requirements:

• Proven experience using Autodesk Revit in professional settings.
• 3+ years of experience working on wood frame construction projects.
• Strong understanding of residential/light commercial construction techniques and standards.
• Proficient in creating families, schedules, and detailed 3D models in Revit.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• Experience with building codes and standards related to wood construction (e.g., IRC, IBC, NDS).
• Familiarity with other design tools (AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, etc.).
• Experience in prefab, modular, or panelized wood construction is a plus.
