Support RF system development, integration, testing, and validation under the guidance of senior engineers. Perform testing and characterization of RF communication chains across S-band, L-band, and X-band frequencies. Set up and operate RF measurement equipment including Spectrum Analyzers, Vector Network Analyzers (VNA), Noise Figure Meters, and Impedance Tuners. Support RF chain testing and troubleshooting at internal facilities, vendor locations, and ISRO facilities. Assist in RF system design activities and component selection/procurement based on system requirements. Analyze RF test results and support debugging of issues related to RF performance, signal integrity, and system functionality. Support antenna testing, characterization, and related RF measurements. Contribute to RF system documentation, test reports, and maintenance of test records. Work closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to coordinate testing, resolve issues, and ensure timely closure of assigned activities. Take ownership of assigned tasks and proactively communicate progress, issues, and required support.
BE./B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering or a closely related discipline. M.E./M.Tech in RF & Microwave Engineering, Communication Engineering, or a closely related discipline will be an added advantage. Strong hands-on experience with RF test and measurement equipment such as:
- Spectrum Analyzer
- Vector Network Analyzer (VNA)
- Noise Figure Meter
- Impedance TunerPractical experience in RF measurement, antenna testing, and RF communication chain testing. Understanding of RF and microwave engineering fundamentals. Good knowledge of:
- Gain
- Noise Figure
- S-Parameters
- Impedance Matching
- Harmonics
- RF StabilityUnderstanding of semiconductors, analog circuits, RF circuits, wireless communication systems, and electro magnetics. Familiarity with EM simulation tools. Ability to interpret RF measurements and troubleshoot basic system-level issues.
