The Role

The RFP Delivery Manager owns execution of AART’s RFP portfolio while serving as a strategic and writing partner to the Vice President. This role is accountable for end-to-end delivery, content quality, and day-to-day decision-making across all pursuits.

The role combines delivery leadership, healthcare and business acumen, writing ownership, and effective use of AI in the proposal process. It is not a coordination-only role.

Work You’ll Do

RFP Delivery Ownership

• Lead RFPs from intake through submission.
• Own schedules, compliance tracking, review cycles, and final quality control.
• Act as the default decision-maker on delivery-related issues when the VP is unavailable.

Strategic Interpretation and Support

• Apply strong healthcare and general business acumen to interpret guidance from Managing Directors and senior SMEs.
• Translate high-level or ambiguous input into clear proposal positioning, structure, and direction.
• Proactively identify strategy gaps, inconsistencies, or risks and elevate recommendations early.

Writing and Content Ownership

• Take direct writing ownership for proposal sections as needed, including executive summaries, approaches, and strategy-heavy responses.
• Edit and finalize content to ensure clarity, concision, and executive-level quality.
• Ensure consistency with AArete’s voice, POV, win themes, and differentiators.

AI-Enabled Proposal Execution

• Use AI tools effectively to improve proposal speed, quality, and consistency.
• Apply AI to accelerate drafting, synthesize SME input and prior material, and support compliance and redundancy checks.
• Establish clear guardrails to ensure AI output is refined, validated, and elevated AArete’s natural, direct, non-fluff voice.
• Coach proposal team members on practical, responsible use of AI in proposal development.

Quality and Risk Management

• Enforce standards for clarity, consistency, and non-redundancy across all submissions.
• Identify and manage risks related to scope, resourcing, compliance, or narrative quality.
• Resolve issues directly where possible; escalate selectively and with options.

Key Characteristics of this Role

• Combines execution ownership with strategic judgement.
• Requires substantive writing and editing responsibility.
• Acts as an operational deputy to the VP.
• Uses AI for speed, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 12+ Years of experience in proposal management, RFP leadership, business development, and executive communications.
• High judgment, strong ownership mindset, and low need for oversight. Ability to think critically
• Strong healthcare domain knowledge (preferred but not absolutely required) and solid business acumen.
• Experience leading complex RFPs with senior stakeholders.
• Executive-level writing and editing capability.
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize ambiguous input into clear and differentiating responses.
• Practical experience using AI in proposal development.
