Job Summary

The Data
Entry Operator (DEO) is responsible for accurate verification of patient
information and processing of imaging orders, including relevant prior reports
and images. This role supports Radiologists in delivering timely and accurate
reports by ensuring data completeness and workflow efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. RIS Data Verification Process

• Perform quality checks on
  patient data and imaging
  
• Verify Date of Exam (DOE) to
  avoid incorrect processing of prior studies
  
• Identify discrepancies and
  escalate to relevant teams
  

2. Patient Data Verification

• Validate patient details
  including Name, MRN, ACC number, Gender, and Date of Birth
  
• Verify modality, procedures,
  and case priority/criticality
  
• Review clinical/surgical
  history, technician comments, and contrast details
  
• Ensure accuracy of image
  count, requisition timestamps, and fax details
  

3. Prior Studies Management

• Request prior studies for
  stroke, follow -up, foreign body, surgical, cancer and inpatient cases
  
• Review priors based on
  technician comments, priors availability in radspa and as per the
  radiologists suggestions.
  
• Ensure priors are verified
  for HL7 orders, backup / Q&R hospitals
  
• Forward relevant priors via hospital
  PACS to designated groups
  
• Attach relevant and recent
  priors across modalities for reporting support
  

4. Order & Data Accuracy

• Identify and remove
  duplicate or incorrect orders
  
• Verify HL7/manual orders and
  escalate missing orders promptly
  
• Ensure only valid and
  current studies are processed for reporting
  

5. Communication & Coordination

• Review communication logs to
  capture case updates and coordinate with internal teams
  
• Escalate discrepancies or
  missing information in a timely manner to get the complete information
  
• Identify
  and flag critical/emergency cases appropriately.
  

6. Data Verification Prioritization

• Prioritize
  cases verification based on urgency:
  
• Stroke
  
• STAT
  / Emergency
  
• Urgent
  
• Routine
  
• Ensure
  no delay in critical case verification impacting patient care.
