Job Description - Safety Engineer - STATCOM

  • The HSE Officer will ensure accurate documentation and compliance with ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety) standards, maintaining up-to-date records, procedures, and policies.
  • The role involves collaborating with the site team to prepare, review, and update Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) documents, identifying potential hazards and mitigating risks to ensure workplace safety.
  • Daily safety inspections will be conducted to identify safety hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards for specific tasks.
  • The HSE Officer will oversee the issuance, tracking, and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), ensuring proper records are kept and compliance with safety standards.
  • The work permit system will be managed to ensure high-risk activities are conducted only under proper authorization and in accordance with safety and environmental protocols.
  • The officer will maintain incident records, track corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution to mitigate future safety risks.
  • The role involves providing safety and environmental training to newly joined contractor workers to ensure they understand site-specific safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • The HSE Officer will lead daily toolbox talks to educate workers on safety measures, potential hazards, and best practices related to ongoing tasks.
  • Safety improvement activities will be led, with strategies developed and implemented to enhance workplace safety, while the progress of safety initiatives will be monitored.
  • The role also involves overseeing the safe handling, segregation, and disposal of hazardous and plastic waste, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
  • The officer will ensure the appropriate display of HSE boards, posters, and signage to promote safety awareness and communicate relevant guidelines to all site personnel.
  • Daily monitoring of key environmental parameters will be conducted to ensure compliance with regulations, with accurate records of environmental data maintained.
  • The officer will regularly update and maintain STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) data sheets to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with wastewater treatment standards, ensure the appropriate display of HSE boards.
  • The HSE Officer will maintain and track ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) parameters, ensuring records are kept up to date and compliant with company and regulatory standards.


    • Requirements

    • Experience – Relevant experience of min. 4-6 Years
    • Qualifications- Diploma in Industrial Safety

    Technical Skills:

    • Expertise in ISO standards compliance, risk assessment, safety inspections, PPE management, work permits, environmental monitoring, hazardous waste management, and incident management.
    • Proficient in maintaining records and reporting safety, environmental, and ESG activities.

    Soft Skills:

    • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
    • Excellent communication skills for training and toolbox talks.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
