You will be responsible for establishing and implementing world-class safety and health/hygiene programs at our site. Reporting to the Facility Director, you will coordinate the Industrial Safety Section, ensuring flawless compliance with local laws and Micron EHS policies. Collaborate effectively with intra- and inter-department teams, including global EHS teams, to support Micron\u2019s ambitious strategic objectives. Work closely with outside governmental agencies and other internal groups to determine and successfully implement safety initiatives.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n * Lead a team of EHS professionals.\n * Manage the EHS Committee to set charters and goals aligned with achieving EHS metrics.\n * Develop, implement, and maintain programs built to ensure compliance with local regulations related to EHS for Micron employees. This includes areas such as safety, hygiene, first aid, health, and injury management.\n * Plan, implement, and coordinate programs to reduce or eliminate occupational injuries, illnesses, deaths, and financial losses arising from unsafe behaviors and conditions.\n * Identify potential or actual areas of non-compliance through audits and on-site inspections, and assess corrective actions to guarantee their efficiency.\n * Compile accurate and succinct reports on inspection findings and deliver recommendations for corrective measures to management.\n * Evaluate safety risks related to job activities, products, and equipment through EHS Risk Assessment and update control systems periodically.\n * Collaborate with in-house vendors and contractors on lessons learned sharing sessions and assess their implementation throughout the organization.\n * Encourage and assist EHS activities to guarantee the implementation of site and Corporate EHS programs.\n * Maintain communication with external organizations such as OSHA, Semi, global safety organizations, public authorities, and rescue teams for information exchange.\n * Set and communicate goals, expectations, and directions for the team.\n * Assess and establish annual EHS metrics for inclusion in policy deployment, and formulate plans to secure the attainment of EHS metrics.\n * Implement management systems in alignment with OHSAS 18001 and TOSHMS.\n * Handle the deployment of Corporate Safety programs and initiatives.\n\n\n\nRequirements and Qualifications:\n\n * Minimum of a Bachelor\u2019s Degree or equivalent experience in EHS, Engineering, or Applied Sciences.\n * Knowledgeable and experienced in ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification.\n * Professional Certification in Environment or Safety is preferred.\n * Minimum 5-8 years working experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry.\n * Knowledge or experience in RBA will be an added advantage.\n * Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capacity to work cooperatively with government officers.\n\n\n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nEHSS M1\n\nRelocation level: (TBD)\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
