Safety Manager for Real Estate - Punawale location

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Safety Manager to lead and manage all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) activities at our real estate construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety policies, ensuring statutory compliance, conducting safety inspections and audits, and creating a strong safety culture across project sites.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in high-rise residential construction projects and should be capable of managing safety teams, contractors, subcontractors, and site workers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and procedures across construction projects.


• Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory safety regulations and company safety standards.


• Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.


• Identify unsafe conditions and unsafe practices and ensure timely corrective actions.


• Prepare and implement project-specific safety plans and emergency response plans.


• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, training sessions, and awareness programs for employees and workers.


• Monitor high-risk construction activities 


• Ensure proper implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) systems.


• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe occurrences and prepare detailed reports with corrective and preventive actions.


• Ensure availability and proper usage of PPE by all employees and workers.


• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure safety compliance.


• Conduct regular safety committee meetings and review safety performance.


• Maintain safety records, registers, inspection reports, training records, and statutory documentation.


• Monitor and improve safety performance through safety KPIs and regular reporting.


• Manage and guide Safety Officers and other safety team members.


• Coordinate with government authorities and external agencies for statutory inspections and compliance requirements.


• Ensure proper fire safety arrangements and emergency preparedness at project sites.


• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure zero-tolerance towards unsafe practices.
