Safety Officer for Real Estate - Moshi Location

Job Summary

The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring all health, safety, and environmental practices at construction sites to ensure a safe working environment for employees, contractors, and visitors. The role involves conducting inspections, safety training, risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with statutory safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure implementation of site safety policies, procedures, and safety management systems.


• Conduct regular site inspections and identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.


• Monitor compliance with PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements.


• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness programs for workers and staff.


• Prepare and maintain safety records, reports, permits, and documentation.


• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases and submit corrective action reports.


• Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations and company safety standards.


• Monitor work at height, excavation, lifting operations, scaffolding, and other high-risk activities.


• Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, mock drills, and first-aid arrangements.


• Ensure fire prevention measures and firefighting equipment are maintained and functional.


• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and subcontractors to promote a strong safety culture.


• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports for management review.
