Job Description - sales

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Min Experience: 11 years

Location: Hyderabad

JobType: full-time

As a senior member of the sales function, you will be responsible for expanding market presence, strengthening key customer relationships, and delivering consistent revenue growth across assigned territories. You will work closely with customers in packaging, publishing, and industrial printing to understand their requirements and offer tailored ink solutions that enhance print quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. With over a decade of experience, you will also contribute strategically by identifying new opportunities, monitoring market trends, and supporting long-term business planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end sales activities for gravure, liquid, and solvent-based inks, from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Develop and execute territory and account-level sales strategies to achieve revenue and volume targets.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with printers, converters, and packaging manufacturers.
  • Understand customer processes and applications to recommend the most suitable ink solutions.
  • Identify new market opportunities, including new customers, applications, and segments.
  • Collaborate with technical and production teams to ensure seamless product trials, approvals, and ongoing support.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms while maintaining profitability.
  • Track market intelligence, competitor activity, and pricing trends to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and performance updates for leadership review.
  • Represent the organization professionally at industry events, customer meetings, and trade forums.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • 11+ years of proven experience in sales within the gravure printing ink, liquid ink, or solvent ink industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of ink formulations, printing processes, and application requirements.
  • Established network and credibility within the printing and packaging industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large accounts and close high-value deals independently.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability in a competitive market.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage travel, and thrive in a performance-driven environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a customer-first approach.
