Sales Account Manager – Smart Factory Solutions

We are a leading provider of innovative smart factory solutions, delivering cutting\-edge automation, IoT, and data analytics technologies to optimize manufacturing processes. Position: Sales Account Manager Location: Bangalore (onsite) Employment Type: Full\-Time Reports To: Director of Sales Job Summary The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for driving sales of smart factory solutions, including automation systems, IoT platforms, and data\-driven manufacturing software. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and collaborating with technical teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs. The ideal candidate is a dynamic sales professional with a proven track record in B2B technology sales and a passion for Industry 4.0 innovations. Key Responsibilities



  • Prospect and Generate Leads: Identify and target potential clients in manufacturing industries, leveraging market research, networking, and lead\-generation tools to build a robust pipeline.

  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision\-makers, understanding their business challenges and aligning solutions to their needs.

  • Solution Selling: Present and demonstrate smart factory solutions (e.g., IoT platforms, predictive maintenance tools, and automation systems) to clients, articulating value propositions and ROI.

  • Consultative Sales Approach: Collaborate with clients to assess their manufacturing processes, identify pain points, and propose customized solutions that enhance efficiency, productivity, and sustainability.

  • Negotiation and Closing: Lead contract negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements while meeting sales targets and quotas.

  • Cross\-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, and implementation teams to ensure seamless delivery of solutions and client satisfaction.

  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and advancements in smart factory technologies to position our solutions effectively.

  • Forecasting and Reporting: Maintain accurate sales forecasts, track activities in CRM systems, and provide regular reports on pipeline status and sales performance.

  • Customer Success: Support post\-sale activities, ensuring clients achieve desired outcomes and fostering opportunities for upselling and renewals.

Qualifications



  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

  • Experience:

    • 3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in technology, automation, or industrial software solutions.

    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.

    • Experience selling to manufacturing or industrial sectors is highly desirable.


  • Skills:

    • Strong understanding of smart factory concepts, including IoT, automation, and data analytics.

    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

    • Ability to translate technical concepts into business value for non\-technical stakeholders.

    • Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics tools.

    • Self\-motivated, with strong organizational and time\-management skills.
