Job Description - Sales and Partnership Manager

Job description

Client is now one of the Top R&D Labs in the country focused on building formulations pertaining to various food ingredients

The first product (formulation) focuses on creating healthy version of plant based Sugar with tastes similar to normal sugar

The Sales & Partnerships Leader will drive the commercialization of new food and beverage formulations. This role involves prospecting B2B clients, managing client relationships through technical sensory panels and pilot projects, and working closely with R&D to align new product innovations with market trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Strategic Partnerships:
    • Identify and secure new business opportunities within the food and beverage industry, including retailers, manufacturers, and HoReCa (Hotels, Restaurants, Cafes).
    • Build and maintain high-level relationships with decision-makers at target companies.
    • Identify partnership opportunities to accelerate product distribution or co-development.
  • R&D Collaboration & Product Commercialization:
    • Act as the link between clients and the R&D team, translating client requirements into actionable project briefs.
    • Handle full customer experience during developmentbrief meetings, sensory test panels, and workshops.
    • Collaborate with R&D to keep the product portfolio up-to-date with current market trends.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution:
    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
    • Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with clients.
    • Coordinate customer projects to ensure high satisfaction from formulation to final production.
  • Market Intelligence:
    • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify gaps and opportunities.
    • Provide technical support to customers in cooperation with internal specialist departments.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Food Technology, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in B2B sales of flavours, ingredients, or food products, with a focus on product commercialization.
  • Skills:
    • Deep understanding of food safety regulations, labeling requirements, and industry trends.
    • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
    • Ability to translate technical R&D jargon into value-based sales proposals.
  • Willingness to Travel: Regularly for client visits and trade shows.
