Job Description - Sales Assistant Manager for Merchandisers

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Salary range: Rs 400000 - Rs 800000 (ie INR 4-8 LPA)

Min Experience: 2 years

Location: Mumbai

JobType: full-time

The Sales Assistant Manager – Merchandisers will support pan-India sales and merchandising operations by enabling effective product demonstrations, strengthening product knowledge across teams, and ensuring a high-quality customer experience. This role requires hands-on experience in home appliance demonstrations, strong communication skills, and close coordination with sales teams, merchandisers, and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver clear, engaging, and impactful product demonstrations for internal sales teams, merchandisers, and channel partners.
  • Support CSD merchants and retail partners by explaining product features, benefits, and correct usage.
  • Communicate professionally with customers to address product queries, provide usage guidance, and resolve basic troubleshooting issues.
  • Respond to customer queries received through email and e-commerce platforms such as Amazon Seller Central.
  • Ensure consistent dissemination of product knowledge across merchandising and demonstration teams nationwide.
  • Act as a liaison between sales teams, merchandisers, and customers to improve product understanding and adoption.
  • Share structured feedback from the field regarding customer concerns, product performance, and training needs.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Graduate in any discipline.
  • Experience: 4–8 years of experience in product demonstration or sales roles within the home appliances industry.
  • Prior experience supporting or managing demonstrator and merchandiser teams is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong product demonstration and presentation capabilities.
  • Good verbal communication skills in English.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including MS Excel.
  • Customer-centric approach with polite and professional communication.
  • Ability to manage customer interactions through email and online platforms.
